A trio of women ministers is demanding Tony Blair include plans to allow women returning to work after maternity leave to demand part-time or flexible work in Labour's 2001 manifesto.

The proposals have been attacked by business, but Baroness Jay, Tessa Jowell and Margaret Hodge are using the election delay to put the PM under pressure to change his mind.
