EU insulated from US slowdown, says Duisenberg
Wim Duisenberg, the European Central Bank chief, has said he does not believe that the current US slowdown will hit growth in Europe. He predicted three years of expansion across Europe and suggested that unemployment and inflation would fall in the EU over coming months.
