Saatchi Gallery rejects censorship calls

The Saatchi Gallery has vowed not to remove photographs in a controversial exhibition despite orders from the police. The exhibition "I am a camera" by Tierney Gearon features naked pictures of her two children. The exhibition curator has been warned that the gallery could be prosecuted as the pictures contravene the Child Protection Act. Chris Smith, the culture secretary, yesterday warned against the dangers of censorship.
