Green lobby attacks Brown

The green lobby has attacked the government following Gordon Brown's decision to lower fuel duty. It says the announcement contradicts Tony Blair's commitment to pursuing a "green" agenda.

Brown announced a two pence-a-litre cut on certain fuels - although fuel protesters said that the cut was not enough and stressed that disruption would continue in the run up to the election.
