Education secretary, David Blunkett, will today announce that the government is dropping plans to make voluntary organisations pay a £10-15 fee for security checks for volunteers.

Blunkett will be speaking at the a conference organised by the National Council for Voluntary organisations. William Hague is also addressing the conference.
