Law Society attacks Government's anti-gazumping proposals
Michael Napier, the President of the Law Society has attacked government plans to fine homeowners who fail to provide a seller's survey for would-be buyers. The Law Society claims the government scheme would put a "substantial extra expense" on vendors and hurt those on low incomes with negative equity. The proposals are to be debated at the second reading of the Homes Bill in the Commons today.
