Badge of honour
ePolitix

The Times reveal that the Prince of Wales is privately backing a scheme to allow the recipients of honours to wear a "discreet everyday badge".

Sir Jeremy Isaacs, a leading campaigner for the "boutonniere" system that allows people to wear a tiny lapel badge or ribbon as do the members of the French Legion d'Honneur, said that holders of British honours had nothing to wear but medals, which were "inappropriate for all but the most formal functions".
