Animal rights versus human rights
In the event of an outright ban on hunting, the Countryside Alliance has said that it will seek a challenge under the Human Rights Act. The leading human rights barrister, Edward Fitzgerald QC, has said there is a "strong case" for arguing that a ban breaches the Convention on Human Rights.
