A lawyer representing British soldiers involved in the "Bloody Sunday" shooting in Londonderry in 1972 have told the tribunal that "many more" causalities appear to have occurred than were officially accounted for. Edwin Glasgow QC said that witnesses had spoken of 34 "untraced or unidentified casualties". Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness, now Ulster's education minister, said the comments should be treated "with the contempt they deserve".
