'A levels too easy' - Woodhead

The chief inspector of schools, Chris Woodhead, has weighed into the examination standards debate by calling for an inquiry into "grade inflation". Interviewed in today's Guardian, Woodhead says that "anybody who dares to ask questions is seen as a dissident" and that the absence of debate was unhealthy if the "currency" of exams is to be maintained into a new century.
