New tobacco law 'may cost jobs'

Tobacco giant BAT yesterday warned it may be forced to shut two factories of the government enforces an EU draft directive. British American Tobacco claimed it would have to close factories in Darlington and Southampton, with the loss of 1,800 jobs if the directive on tighter labelling restrictions went ahead.
