Skills Dialogue Group Skills Summit

Hosted by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, One Birdcage Walk, London

The summit bought together an audience of delegates focussed on shaping the best possible skills system for the UK. Delegates split into groups to discuss the different provisions necessary for 14 – 19 year olds and for lifelong skills development and to listen to expert speakers such as Iain Wright MP, minister for 14-19 Reform, Lizzi Holman of the CBI and Tom Wilson, director of Unionlearn. They also came together for a number of formal addresses from prominent figures such as John Hayes MP, Mike Campbell of the UKCES and Chris Banks, chair of the LSC.
