Oxfordshire County Council

Oxfordshire County Council provides a range of key services to the people of Oxfordshire. Each year the council manages £0.5 billion of public money in the provision of these services on behalf of Oxfordshire's 615,000 people.

The council is composed of 70 democratically elected county councillors and employs 19,000 people to deliver your services.

At Oxfordshire County Council our priority is to keep bureaucracy costs to a minimum so that as much money as possible is available for providing frontline services. In recent years central services have been streamlined and trimmed wherever possible to keep costs down. Oxfordshire now has half as many central support staff as the average county.
