House Builders Association
Medium and smaller sized house builders have an agenda that is significantly different, in a number of key respects, from that of volume house builders. They need appropriate representation which identifies their particular concerns and raises them with decision makers and opinion formers. They also need information to keep up to date with the fast-changing legislative and regulatory climate.
Currently there are some 900 NFB members engaged to varying degrees in house building and all but a very small number may be viewed as being in the SME category. The Federation has extended its services to cater for this sector by establishing the ‘House Builders Association’ (HBA) as a division within the Federation. To ensure that the services provided for this group and the policies it adopts accurately reflect the needs of SME house builders, Roger Humber is the HBA strategic policy consultant.
The HBA's service is available to all members with house building interests at no additional cost. The service includes a programme of meetings, dinners and seminars on house building matters. In addition, a weekly e-mail information bulletin addressing house building matters is available to all HBA members.
For further information on the HBA, please contact hba@builders.org.uk or call 01332 863 246.
