Government frameworks and partnering

As part of our commitment to the modernisation agenda and best value initiative, Mott MacDonald has adopted multiple partnering approaches to commissions with different public sector bodies. We fully understand the government’s desire for the public and private sectors to work together and we are committed to the belief that by doing so the public will reap the maximum benefit.

The government has been very clear in its pursuit of best value and continuous improvement. We believe that partnering can make a substantial contribution to meeting the key objective of delivering a quality service at an affordable cost. The following are a few examples of our partnership agreements or where we are active framework consultant:

  • Bath and NE Somerset County Council – Cost management and highways framework
  • Carmarthenshire County Council – Collaborative working partnership
  • DCSF#(formally DfES) – Academies, LEAs and HEIs frameworks
  • Environment Agency – National Strategic Flood Risk Management framework
  • Highways Agency – National roads framework
  • Inland Revenue – Business continuity planning call off
  • Medway Council – Highways framework
  • MOD defence estates – Project management and multi-disciplinary framework
  • Norfolk County Council – Strategic highways and planning partnership
  • OGC Buying Solutions – Catalyst multiple categories
  • Transport for London – Call off contract for multi-disciplinary transport projects

Through our partnership working with local authorities we are helping local government in areas such as new legislation implementation, government policy delivery and local government reforms through the Lyons Report, Comprehensive Spending Review 2007 and Landfill Allowance Trading Scheme (LATS). We are also helping to deliver Gershon efficiency savings that will total more than £21.5 billion by 2008. Our framework agreements and collaboration with local and central government allows us to push the boundaries for continuous improvement.
