GuildHE is a recognised representative organisation within the higher education sector. GuildHE is: • an inclusive body, with members across higher education colleges, specialist institutions and universities; • the key advocate for institutional diversity within the higher education sector; • a champion for the distinctive and high quality higher education provided by its member institutions. Our history GuildHE is the new name for SCOP (the Standing Conference of Principals Ltd). SCOP was established in 1978 as the representative organisation for the colleges of higher education. Over the last few years, our membership has diversified and we now speak for HE colleges, specialist institutions and some universities. Our new name has been chosen: • to emphasise the importance to our members of collective endeavour, mutual aid and shared vision; |
