Policy and Research

Policy

A key part of the GTC’s role is to advise government and other education partners on issues affecting the profession, based on teachers’ views and expertise. Teachers have a distinctive and powerful voice through the GTC’s policy. It is built through consultation with teachers and looks to raise standards of teaching and learning in the public interest. In addition to consulting with teachers and other education stakeholders, the GTC makes use of research studies to assist its policymaking.

Research

In addition to consulting with teachers and other education stakeholders, the GTC makes use of research studies to assist its policymaking.
