Age Concern and Help the Aged's Dignity not PEAnuts campaign to increase the level of the Personal Expenses Allowance (PEA) continued on Monday 9th March with a demonstration outside the Department of Health. We have distributed packets of peanuts and presenting nearly 3000 postcards in support of the campaign to Phil Hope MP, Care Services Minister. Campaigning can raise awareness, change policy and improve the lives of many thousands of older people.

Our vision is of a society providing a fair deal for older people. Older people should have access to the same opportunities as everyone else. Their contributions should be valued and they should be able to live with dignity and security.
Older people’s voices should be heard about decisions affecting their lives. For this vision to become a reality, we must campaign for the Government to improve the lives of the over-50s throughout the .
