The Contribution of Culture
2006-06-10
Arts and museums unite to present a shared vision for the future and make a bid for culture to be at the heart of public policy. Values and Vision: The Contribution of Culture, published by Arts Council England, The Museums Libraries and Archives Council and the National Museum Directors' Conference.
" Values and Vision is a powerful expression of how the arts, museums and libraries have a key role to play in the Britain of the 21st Century. The visual arts are at the heart of the case being made to Government - not only because of their intrinsic value but through the unique contribution they make to key areas of public policy including celebrating diversity, extending learning opportunities and connecting communities." Andrew Nairne, Director Modern Art Oxford, VAGA Chair
