Statement on teachers' pay and STRB report

Commenting on the STRB’s 18th Report Part 2 and the ministerial statement, Deborah Simpson, Principal Officer (Pay & Conditions) with Voice: the union for education professionals, said: "We welcome the STRB’s report and the Government’s response.
"We are pleased that the 2.3% increase has been upheld after the delays, uncertainty and rumours. This is a vote of confidence in teachers and in the system.
"The report itself represents ongoing progress and a basis for developing and refining the system."
