Shadow Minister of Health helps promote Stroke & Health Awareness in Northwich Town Centre

Last Saturday, The Rotary Club of Northwich Vale Royal ran a Stroke & Health Awareness Day in Northwich Town Centre.
241 members of the public took advantage of free blood pressure tests taken by a team of three local doctors. 30 people were advised to contact their GP because of abnormal readings.
This event, which was National, was jointly organised by Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland and The Stroke Association and was designed to help promote Stroke & Health Awareness to the general public in Town Centres across the United Kingdom.
Many local dignitaries also offered their services and dropped by for a free Blood Pressure Test at P. Williams Chemists during the day. These included, Stephen O’Brien MP for Eddisbury, who is also The Shadow Minister for Health, Mike Hall MP for Weaver Vale and Rotary District 1050 Governor Michael Barker.
