Responding to the FSA’s Third Thematic Review on Payment Protection Insurance, Stephen Sklaroff, FLA Director General, commented:
“The FSA report shows that good progress has been made in a number of key areas in the PPI markets. While more needs to be done in other areas, the FSA has also correctly recognised that PPI provides valuable protection for consumers.
“Now more than ever, it is important that customers continue to have access to this important protection. The industry will continue to work with the FSA and others to improve the information received by customers, including via our new consumer guide to PPI.”
