NATIONAL SAVINGS AND INVESTMENTS INFLATION-BEATING SAVINGS CASH VALUES IN APRIL 2006

The tables overleaf give the April 2006 cash values for Index-linked Savings Certificates held for one year or more. The tables refer to certificates bought up to ten years ago.
For working out these values in March, the Retail Price Index figure is 194.2. The increase in the Index over the year is 2.4%.
