Hospice and Palliative Care UK: 2006 Directory Available Now
22nd June 2006
The new Hospice and Palliative Care Directory 2006 detailing adult and children’s services, both voluntary and statutory, is now available. Full of facts, up-to-date and easy to use, the Directory is the most comprehensive listing of UK hospice and palliative care services available and is produced by Hospice Information, the information service provided by national hospice charity Help the Hospices and St Christopher’s Hospice and published with the help of a grant from Macmillan Cancer Support.
The directory is suitable for anyone who wants to know more about hospice and palliative care in the UK, from palliative care specialists to GPs, nurses, social workers, educators, hospice volunteers and the general public. It includes facts and figures and a list of professional organizations in the field, as well as full contact details of local hospice care providers organized regionally. Sections of the Directory are available in large print.
This year’s Directory features a front cover painting by Carol Sadler, produced while she was being cared for by St Christopher’s Hospice. Carol took part in the Painting Support Group run by the St Christopher’s Creative Living Centre which offers patients and their carers creative, therapeutic and social opportunities in order to discover and develop new skills, strengths and insights.
To order a copy or obtain more information email info@hospiceinformation.info or call Hospice Information on 0870 903 3903 (national rates apply).
