GuidHE response to Lord Mandelson's speech
Responding to Lord Mandelson's speech at Aston University today, Alice Hynes GuildHE Chief Executive Officer said :
"Hearing Lord Mandelson declare his Department will seek to build up "creativity" as well as "knowledge" was encouraging. GuildHE too believes people should have the opportunity to "make the most of their talents". We want to be assured that in this Department "innovation" means more than just science and manufacturing, and that it recognises that "competitiveness" across a broad range of industries and sectors will increase opportunities for more people to become wealth creators.
