GMB welcome EDF takeover of British Energy to secure nuclear energy future
Gary Smith, National Secretary of the GMB union, which represents thousands of workers in the nuclear industry reacting to the announcement that EDF are to takeover British Energy, said: "At long last, one of the pieces is in place to secure an energy future for Britain. "We look forward to having a constructive dialogue with EDF regarding the building of much-needed nuclear facilities on British Energy sites."
