30 September 2007 – Federation of Small Businesses – Publishes its response to the Competition Commission’s provisional decision to lift the 2003 temporary price controls on the UK’s 4 largest banks' dealings with small and medium-sized enterprises. October 1 2007 – Federation of Small Businesses – Launch in Brussels of a report and compilation DVD highlighting the fact that small businesses spend 7 hours per week filling in forms for the Government and hearing from small businesses what they would do with those hours if they were given them back. October 1 2007 – Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) launches FSB Care. New, free to access, service for FSB members intended to support small business owners who are struck down by serious illnesses. October 2 2007 – FSB to publish report looking at Health and Safety legislation and its impact on businesses. The report examines the burden of Health and Safety legislation and compliance, the impact of the new Fire Safety Order regime, the nature of Health and Safety inspections, Employers' Liability Compulsory Insurance and health in the workplace, including the requirements of business from the NHS.
