FLA ANNOUNCES NON-STANDARD FINANCE CONFERENCE

3 May 2007

Non-standard, non-conforming, sub-prime…..call it what you will. Never has non-standard finance been more topical. FLA, in association with Ernst & Young, is holding a conference to inform and educate those in the finance industry about different schemes of non-standard finance.

The conference will benefit senior and middle management of firms providing non-standard finance, as well as funders, collections businesses and professional advisers and suppliers. It will be held on Tuesday 5 June at the Dorchester in London.

Speakers from across the consumer credit industry and beyond will address the topical issues. Everyone is aware of the problems in the US mortgage market with non-standard finance offerings – how does this affect the markets? Cattles will address delegates on risk assessment. Duncton plc examine reputational issues – are firms offering credit repair providing a vital service or profiting from the unfortunate?

Further presentations will offer a lawyer’s eye view of the continuous regulatory updates from the government, before Cardif Pinnacle ask whether a balanced view is being taken of insurance sales in the market. The consumer angle will be presented by the Money Advice Trust; and the broker angle by Freedom Finance.

Finally, a panel discussion featuring four of the day’s speakers will allow delegates to get any questions off their chest.
