Press Release
EOA Newsletter – June 2008
Return your Yellow Forms
Each year these forms are completed by examination office personnel as commentary and feedback as to how each session of the exams has gone. In the past this was done by teaching examination officers and the emphasis has always been on feedback from the teaching community on how the examination papers reflect teaching. However, less emphasis has been placed on feedback on the administration of the examinations.
Therefore, we urge all examination office personnel to provide their own feedback and to encourage all their teaching colleagues to pass comments back to them on any aspect of an examination be it practicals, coursework, written or oral exams. This is our opportunity as a community to provide constructive feedback and hopefully influence the future operation and administration of the examination system.
There is going to be the usual focus by the press on this year’s exam results especially after all the media coverage of the plight of examination office personnel. There may also be questions raised about the Diplomas as we approach the new academic year.
If you have any comments or feedback please e-mail us: Virginiacashin@examofficers.org.uk
