One of the most common complaints about MPs is that they're invisible except when they want your votes. For this reason, it's particularly welcome when I find constituents with email, since I can give them a more frequent service than with my door-to-door newsletters. Some "rules":

• I'll intermittently send draft speeches and articles, notes on local events, discussion of currently controversial issues, etc. The style is not partisan and I try to be honest about dilemmas.
• You should feel free to ignore anything that doesn't interest you
• There is no implication that you have supported me or will do so in future.
• Participants agree not to pass the material to anyone who is actively hostile and likely to take bits out of context to use against me (this saves me perusing every phrase for possible distortion).
