Saving local post offices

The government has decided that from 2003 pensions and benefits recipients will no longer be able to collect their weekly payments from post offices.

This will take away 40% of their income and damage local shopping centres.

John Horam is campaigning with Orpington post masters to stop this move.


Campaigning for more police

Crime and anti-social behaviour is currently increasing in Orpington. There are fewer police on the streets and police stations have been closed.

All this is due to underfunding by the government and John Horam campaigns constantly for more resources for local police.
