I have been proud to represent the constituency since its creation in May 2005, and before that the seat of Ross Skye & Inverness West since 1997 and Ross, Cromarty and Skye since my election to the Commons in 1983, and I am equally proud to have lead the Liberal Democrats since August 1999.
