Anne Moffat
Biography
Anne was born to Wilma and Frank Moffat in Dunfermline, Fife 1958.
She went to three different primary schools, Woodmill High and Dunfermline Further Education College.
Anne trained as a nurse in both Fife and Belfast before moving to Ashford, Kent where she was a nursing sister and ran a busy Mental Health Hospital at night.
From the word go she was very active in the Trade Union and Labour Movement, holding national positions in COHSE and UNISON. She was also a local Labour Councillor in Ashford, Kent. She was also the secretary of the TUC General Purposes Committee and sat on the Labour Party's ruling National Executive and was UNISON's National President before being selected as East Lothian's candidate for the 2001 General Election.
Anne lives in the constituency and has one son, Scott.
