Havering Conservative Future held it's most successful Annual President's Dinner ever. Over 70 members and guests enjoyed a light hearted three course banquet until the small hours. President, Angela Watkinson MP, said afterwards. Any thought of a stuffy after dinner speech went out of the window when our Chairman Councillor Gary Adams, had us clutching our sides with his jokes. This was matched by a hilarious vote of thanks from Vice Chairman Gary Murphy

Upminster Students go from 'House to House'.
Angela Watkinson, MP for Upminster, welcomed Russell Ayling, head teacher of Gaynes School and Language College and two students, Josephine and Daniel, to the House of Commons. They had been successfully elected to the Havering Youth Parliament and showed a keen interest in parliament and the democratic process

Angela was appointed to the Council of Europe. Meetings are in various member countries all over an enlarged Europe and require jetting of at very unsocial early hours

Every year, Brookside Infant School, Dagenham Park Drive, Harold Hill, has an exhibition of imaginative play areas in the school hall. This year the theme was communication. Angela Watkinson was given a guided tour of the displays by James Tubey and Hannah Jones of Class 2. Angela said 'James and Hannah made me feel very welcome. They are proud of their school and very well informed about a range of modern communications. They enjoyed showing me their call centre and explaining how it works'

Round the world Yachtswoman Ellen McArthur, soon to become a Dame, met Upminster’s MP Angela Watkinson at a B&Q Reception in the House of Commons this week. Angela asked how Ellen coped with the isolation and was told “too busy to notice as there was so much to do - sleep deprivation was the worst thing - the most I had at one time was an hour and a quarter – mostly it was a few minutes at a time.”

Aspiring MPs visit Shadow Minister for Education in her Westminster Office. After being shown around the Commons Chamber, CF Chairman, Garry Pain, thanked Angela Watkinson on behalf of his colleagues. “We think Angela is a role model for us all to follow in future years”.
