Shadow Education Secretary to visit King’s Lynn – Tuesday 2nd November.

1330-1500 Official opening of the Fairstead Community Centre

The Shadow Education Secretary, Tim Collins CBE MP will be visiting King’s Lynn to officially open the excellent new facilities of the Fairstead Community Centre. As well as being accompanied by Henry Bellingham MP, he will be meeting Sue Payne, Community Development Officer- Borough Council of King’s Lynn &West Norfolk, The Mayor- Cllr Paul Brandon, Cllr John Dobson- Council Leader, Cllr David Harwood- Portfolio Holder for Community, Mrs. Mary Burns-Chair Fairstead Area Neighbourhood Group, Mrs. Janet Rich- Programme Manager, Sure Start Gaywood South

After cutting the ribbon at the doors of the Community Centre Mary Burns will give him a tour of the centre.

1515-1615 Tim Collins CBE MP to open new extension at the Knight’s Hill Hotel.

The “Garden Wing” extension consists of 12 new bedrooms and two new meeting rooms and Mr. Collins will be asked to officially name and open one of the meeting rooms; the “Charter Room”, in celebration of the 800th Anniversary of King John awarding the charter to King’s Lynn.
