    ROYAL DIAMOND WEDDING

The Queen and Prince Philip celebrated 60 years of marriage in a service at Westminster Abbey on November 19. The pageantry of this state occasion was arranged with the usual precision that makes us the envy of the world and it was a great privilege to be there to represent the people of Upminster constituency.

It was a truly splendid occasion in the presence of three generations of the Royal Family, with music provided by the Westminster Abbey Choir and Organist, and fanfares played by the State Trumpeters of the Band of the Blues and Royals and the Fanfare Trumpeters of the Scots Guards.

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, senior representatives of all the United Kingdom Churches and Faith Communities, the Armed Forces, and Parliament were in attendance for this historic Diamond Wedding celebration.

    Yours sincerely, Angela Watkinson.
