Primarolo arranges Pension Credit surgery for residents

Dawn Primarolo, Labour MP for Bristol South, has announced the date of another special surgery to help residents apply for the new Pension Credit. This follows two successful surgeries in Knowle West and Hartcliffe.

“Recent figures show that over 5,600 pensioners in Bristol South are already receiving Pension Credit, with an average award of £44.36 per week”, Dawn explained. “I’m keen to help even more of my constituents to boost their income in this way”.

Working with specialist advisers from The Pension Service, Ms Primarolo has arranged a dedicated surgery for Bedminster residents in the afternoon of Friday 27 February.

Independent research published last month shows that the Labour Government’s drive to make the process as simple as possible is working, with 9 out of 10 people happy with the application process and the service they received from staff.
