People power wins again - Jotmans Sure Start withdrawn
Hard work and the right arguments win the day for local campaigners and Independent MP Bob Spink.
Bob Spink says:
"I am delighted to announce yet another victory for People Power. I congratulate local residents for their community spirited hard work to fight this inappropriate application.
It is a great shame that the Borough Council sold off Richmond Hall where the centre should have gone. There are still aspects to this whole saga that need thorough investigation, such as the inappropriate sale of Richmond Hall, but just now I am delighted to focus on this excellent news and thank all local people who campaigned side by side with me for our community.
This is a humiliating climb down by County Councillors which has caused a lot of anxiety and cost tens of thousands of our money"
