MP supports football festival

Liz Blackman MP recently joined in the fun at the Riverside Junior Football Festival in West Park, Long Eaton yesterday. Approximately 1,000 children registered to take part in the football festival which went ahead despite the pouring rain.

'It was magic to see all the youngsters enjoying themselves in the park apparently oblivious to the weather. I know it takes a lot of hard work to make these events happen but the results are very worthwhile.'
