Member of Parliament for Chorley Lindsay Hoyle will be visiting Withnell Fold Primary School tomorrow, Friday 18th May, to be quizzed by Year 3 and Year 4 pupils about life as an MP.
The school is currently running citizenship classes and Mr Hoyle is going to talk to pupils about how he got involved in politics and became a Member of Parliament, in addition to what the job entails. Mr Hoyle will be visiting the school tomorrow at 2.30pm.
He said:
“I am pleased that the school are making time within the curriculum to discuss politics and if I can help pupils in this project then I am more than willing to do so. It is important that we teach youngsters the importance of getting involved in politics, the need to vote, and make them aware of how politics effect every day lives.”
