MP Listens to Tarbolton Concerns
Local MP Brian Donohoe met with the Tarbolton Tenant’s and Residents Association recently to listen to the issues affecting the community. The meeting was well attended and among those present were local Councillor Andy Campbell and Community Police Officer Graeme Gordon.
Many different issues were raised but the problem always remained the same - South Ayrshire Council are treating Tarbolton second best to other communities. The Association are being overlooked in favour of other areas such as Ayr, Maybole and Girvan.
Central Ayrshire MP Mr Donohoe commented:
“When visiting areas within my constituency it is quite clear that South Ayrshire Council are not playing on an level playing field and I think it’s a disgrace. Tarbolton is a wonderful community with a proud history and South Ayrshire Council should hang their heads in shame the fact that they are ignoring their needs. The council is there to represent and support everyone in all areas within South Ayrshire not just a chosen few. I will be working closely with the Association to ensure that South Ayrshire Council buck up there ideas and give the locals of Tarbolton what they need and deserve.”
