MP joins volunteers for 25th anniversary

Local Member of Parliament Liz Blackman presented certificates to volunteers from Community Concern Erewash at the Dukeries Club in Cotmanhay to mark the 25th anniversary of Volunteers'Week which took place between the 1st and 7th of June.
'Volunteers'Week began in 1984 and plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of people who volunteer week in and week out,'said the MP. 'In Erewash Community Concern volunteers make a fantastic difference to the quality of life for many local people.’
Liz was joined by staff from Community Concern Erewash, Professor Irene Hardill from Trent University and John Beardsley who has been involved with the organisation from the beginning.
