MP Donates Whisky to the Paras

Erewash MP Liz Blackman donated a bottle of House of Commons Whisky signed by the Prime Minister the Rt Hon Gordon Brown MP to the Nottingham Parachute Regiment Association. The Whisky will raise money for the 'Help for Heroes Campaign' which will be used to help wounded service personnel.
Liz is pictured handing over a second bottle of Commons Whisky this time signed by the Rt. Hon Tony Blair to George Worthington, Bill Cumming, Brian Savage and John Needham of the Nottingham Parachute Regiment Association who accepted it on behalf of the no longer existing 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment.
The MP said, 'Our young men and women of the Armed Forces will tell you that they are just doing their job but anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk their life is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things. We owe them so much.'
