Mike Hall MP takes his hero to No. 10
21 December 2009
Mike Hall MP was pleased to respond to an invitation from Gordon and Sarah Brown and take Terri Pybis along to Number 10 Downing Street as a Christmas hero.
The Prime Minister wanted to recognise the work of unsung heroes in local communities who spend Christmas working to help others. Terri works for the YMCA and her job involves looking after homeless young people in the Runcorn and Widnes area, finding them accommodation and providing advice and support to help them turn their lives around.
Mike Hall said, "I am very impressed by the work that Terri does with the homeless young people of Runcorn. Terri and the YMCA provide an essential service. All the young people who have benefited from help from Terry and the YMCA really appreciated the support they have been given.
I was pleased to be able to invite Terri and Carl to meet Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah in No.10 Downing Street. It was a special occasion to recognise people who have made a special contribution to the communities they live in".
