Lifeskills [PHSE]- UK follows Nottingham's lead

I welcome today's announcement from Ed Balls on making Lifeskills[I'm still working on them to call it Lifeskills which is comprehensible rather than PHSE!] part of the national curriculum. This follows on from the Lifeskills work already rolling out in secondary schools this September in Nottingham as part of our Early Intervention program.

When taken as part of an Early Intervention package this will make a tremendous contribution to building the Social and Emotional bedrock of children and young people which is key to building out educational underachievement, drug and drink abuse, crime low aspiration to work and above all poor parenting which left unaddressed costs the nation £billions in the bills of late intervention.
