Letter to the Editor

Dear Sir,

Just a note to say "Thank You" to all the people who allow their patriotism to show - as supporters of all nations head towards the football matches in Germany. Whether it is house windows, motor cars, or business premises, the sight of St.George's flag waving in the breeze brings a cheering moment to a very damp Bank Holiday. Yes, I am old enough to remember the utter joy of my friends and family when our players took the laurel crown of victory in 1966, and yes, I will be cheering them on at each game as I watch their efforts to bring that magic trophy home again.
