Letter from Baby Products Association Chief Executive, Peter White, to Betty Williams MP

Baby Products Association Chief Executive, Peter White, has written to Mrs Betty Williams MP to thank her for her ongoing support, particularly their campaign to reduce VAT on children’s car seat bases.
In this year’s Budget, published on 22nd April 2009, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced that VAT on children's car seat bases will be cut from 15% to 5% from 1st July 2009.
Mrs Williams said. "This is excellent news. I am very pleased to see that our Labour Government is taking steps to make such vital safety equipment more affordable."
