LEMBIT ÖPIK LAUNCHES SCHOOL HEADTEACHER RECRUITMENT SERVICE
Lembit Öpik MP will today launch a new ‘not for profit’ on-line matching service for head teacher vacancies in Wales. The new service is called ‘SchoolHead’ and could save over £1 million that schools currently spend on recruitment.
Commenting before the launch, Lembit Öpik MP said:
“I am delighted to back this not for profit service. It will make the recruiting process much easier and help candidates, schools and their pupils by cutting the cost of recruiting a head teacher.
“It is an excellent service that allows more money to be spent on pupils and I’m happy to lend it my full support”.
Tim Ostley, for Webucate 2000 Ltd, who are operating the service, said:
“Benefits of this online service include lower costs, ease of use and a faster turnaround.
“Every day Governors will know how many qualified candidates are interested in their school plus whether these candidates have been matched to many other vacancies.
“Equally, candidates will not have to wade through pages of unsuitable jobs to find one of interest.”
