Dr Brian Iddon MP welcomes launch of MoneyMadeClear advice service for people in Bolton South East

Bolton South East MP, Dr Brian Iddon has welcomed the launch of a new Government advice service designed to offer practical and impartial help and information on money matters.
The new Moneymadeclear service will test the blueprint for a national 'money guidance' service recommended by the Thoresen Review of generic financial advice. The £12m pathfinder aims to reach up to 750,000 people in the North West and the North East of England by spring 2010 and is being delivered by the FSA in partnership with the Treasury.
Dr Brian Iddon MP said,
"This new money advice service will provide real help at a time when people urgently need it - clear, impartial and personalised information, education and guidance on money matters.
"I am delighted that people in Bolton South East will benefit from this new service which will provide guidance on money matters that shape their everyday lives.
"I know that making decisions about finances can be daunting – this service will help families now and with planning for the future."
People can now access this service at www.moneymadeclear.fsa.gov.uk, the Moneymadeclear helpline on 0300 500 5000 and face to face through partner organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and Age Concern.
