COUNCIL CHANGES ITS PLANS ON PARKING IN LONGFORD ROAD
Coventry North East MP, Bob Ainsworth has welcomed Coventry City Councils change of plan on parking in Longford Road.
Bob Ainsworth was approached by a number of concerned shopkeepers, who own premises which include and are adjacent to 211 Longford Road, about the council’s plans to remove the parking bays outside their premises along both sides of the road to accommodate the new bus lane.
Bob Ainsworth wrote to the council on behalf of his constituents and the council agreed in their response to amend the scheme to retain the parking spaces.
Bob Ainsworth said:
“I thought the original proposal made no sense and it is good to see that the plan has been amended.”
